Elected to 3-Year Term on the SMA Board of Directors

WM Coffman Resources is proud to announce that Mr. Rob Cohen, CEO of WM Coffman, was elected to the Board of Directors of the SMA for a three-year term at the recently completed 23rd Annual SMA Conference in Charlotte.

Our company’s history with the SMA dates to the inception of the organization in 1988, when the original purpose of the organization was that of “improving stairway safety while preserving those aesthetic elements that have made the staircase an enduring architectural institution.” Milestones of the organization have been many, and for those of you familiar with the “Visual Interpretation of the International Residential Code”, you know firsthand the expertise and quality of information provided by the organization. The SMA continues to pursue this early mission, and through its continued work has become the leader in championing the stair industry’s position in the code development process.

Mr. Cohen’s position on the Board will not only allow WM Coffman to do our part in service to our industry, but will also allow us to provide our valued customers with assistance in code related issues while keeping you abreast of upcoming changes in the stair code that could affect you and your business.
